SAFETY
Formed by high-time pilots and skilled aviation professionals, safety is the cornerstone of Austin Aviation’s business model. With our in-depth knowledge and experience within the aviation industry, we hold charter operators to higher and stricter standards and criteria set forth by Austin Aviation. In general, charter operators must exceed the requirements set forth by the FAA as well as:
- Hold at least an ARG/US Gold or Wyvern Rating
- Have a history of ZERO major or fatal accidents
- Have been in business for at least 5 years
An example of a preventative incident is the 2005 accident at Teterboro Airport involving a Challenger 600. The pilots did not properly check weight and balance of the aircraft as they were trying to save money by adding fuel beyond proper limits. The jet could not get airborne and ran off the runway, over a highway, and crashed into a nearby building. Serious injuries resulted. The pilots and company executives faced criminal charges. Such incidents can easily be avoided — Austin Aviation makes safety our highest priority.
With these high standards, Austin Aviation will not necessarily look for the least expensive flight but rather the safest, most dependable, and most efficient charter. You can be certain, we have taken the greatest care to ensure that there are no surprises and that you arrive safely at your destination. Austin Aviation will make your travel experience effortless so you can think about your next board meeting or alumni outing or golf game…..
